What are Flame proof trucks;
Industrial vehicles operated within hazardous areas present a risk of explosion. Diesel and battery electric fork lift trucks are widely used at factories and sites where flammable liquids and gases are processed or stored. Such processes include the production of solvents, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, gas cylinder and aerosol filling and the manufacture of solvent based products such as paints, plastics, perfumes and cosmetics. The materials can be released either by accident or during a process and may result in fire or explosion from a hot surface or sparks from an industrial vehicle whether powered by diesel engines or electrical equipment.

The New Cavaion Sideloader Baumann Logo
It should be noted that in 2007 an Austrian company called “Terra” started marking their jumbo / Lancer units with the Baumann logo; this was mainly because the logo had never been a registered trademark. As Mr. Baumann was concerned about his brands quality reputation he decided that Baumann S.R.L would introduce a new logo showing the origin of the manufacture. (new logo)
“It was easy to see why other companies would want to use the Baumann name,” explained Mr Baumann. “However, with our new logo there will be no problem distinguishing between the products – and the quality of our product speaks for itself.”
Load Stabilising Tilt System
An important safety feature of the Cavaion Baumann sideloader range is the Stabilising Tilt System, whereby two cylinders mounted below the platform tilt the chassis to provide optimum load stability. This system enables the carriage and the forks to remain horizontal during the loading process – this in spite of any ground variations that may exist.
The new operator’s cab, available in no less than four widths ranging from 750mm to 1070mm, offers the very latest technology, use of space and ergonomics. However, the driver does not simply gain the benefit of comfort, but also information by way of an operation control system mounted in the dashboard that provides a constant update of the machine’s operational status.
